The Symbolic Animal

This Chapter is called The Symbolic Animal, I think this chapter is to makes us think about the differences and similitudes of humans and animals. Obviously we are different than animals from the outside (even the monkey), humans are different.

Animals in order to communicate they have certain sounds for each thing they want to say. Humans can talk and that way we can express everything we want, even though humans are never satisfied and always and searching for more.

The major difference its that we can talk (using words), because animals can talk (using sounds). Every different animal borns with certain quality that helps them to survive, they kind of allready know what to do since they are born. Humans have to learn certain skills from our parents, school, friends, etc. Somebody has to teach us to do the things we need in so we can "survive" in this life.

My conclusion is that animals and humans are very different, and every different animal has its ups and downs. We humans also have our ups and downs, sometimes we are bad because of the ambition of having more things than the other person.
But anyways... NO BODY ITS PERFECT ;)

  1. Ale i agree with your comment, we are different than animals, we can talk to express, to tell our needs, to say what we want, what we need, to other humans. I like what you say, every animal borns with certain quality that helps them to survive and humans have to learn some skills from the people that are around them to survive in life. :)

  2. Hey ale ,
I agree with you comment, we are different froma animals, but we also have similitudes.

Both, animals and humans need to communicate, but we do it in a different way.
we as humans communicate to express our wants and needs, but much broader, and we are always looking for more and more, we are able to dicover new things, like medicine, etc, etc.
and animals only communicate by sounds fo what they need, and nothing else, they aren´t able to discover new things.

  3. I agree with Ale, in which humans and animals are totally different both outside and inside, and that animals use sound to more specific things and we just use words.

  4. Hey ale, im agree with you, we are differents, but i think that we have like an animal side, we have instincts and we react, we are humans, we can communicate our ideas with words, and we learn that because its our need.
